Third Annual Stuff an Ambulance Event

On Saturday, December 13, from 9a.m. to 3 p.m., the City’s police, firefighters and paramedics will be collecting non-perishable food and cash donations in support of the Guelph Food Bank.

The third annual ‘Stuff an Ambulance’ event will take place at two Zehrs locations in Guelph—124 Clair Road East and 1045 Paisley Road. Guelph Police will have officers and a cruiser at each location.

This year, organizers are hoping to collect more than 20,000 pounds of food—the same number collected over the last two years. The event has also raised $7,500 in cash donations.

“Guelph is a generous community and this event is one way for our emergency first responders to give back to the community we serve. All employees volunteer to participate in this event and are excited to see how many ambulances will get stuffed with much-needed food this year,” says Leanne Swantko, deputy chief of Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Service.

Emergency first responders will also provide tours of the police cruisers, ambulances and fire apparatus on site.
