Thief Steals Copper Wire From Locomotive

(GODERICH, ON) Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the theft of copper wire stolen from a Goderich- Exeter Railway locomotive. Sometime over the Civic Day holiday weekend those responsible stole four 30′ sections of high grade 1 inch copper wire from the side of the locomotive. The locomotive had been parked behind the Goderich-Exeter Railway office located on Maitland Road North.

The replacement value of the stolen copper wire is estimated to be near $1600.
