A Wingham youth was arrested last night after he entered a Diagonal Road residence and stole some property. The youth had also gone through some vehicles and stole some property including cash, credit cards and cell phones. With the light snow, police were able to track the suspect to his residence where he was arrested. All property with the exception of some keys has been recovered and returned to the rightful owners. The youth has been charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of theft under $5,000, breaching probation and breaching a police officer undertaking. He is to appear in Goderich Youth Court on 11 February 2010 to answer to the charges.
Police would like to remind the public, especially during this festive season, to lock their vehicles and keep their belongings out of sight in the vehicle.
