On Wednesday November 11, 2015 approximately at 9:30 pm, police responded to a financial institution located on Hespeler Rd. in Cambridge as they were alerted of a possible suspect attempting to cash a stolen cheque. Upon arriving on scene, the suspect fled from police, entering the traffic lanes and running between moving vehicles. The suspect entered a vehicle stopped at a red light, south bound lane of Hespeler Rd making the driver believe he had a weapon. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. No one sustained physical injury as a result of the incidents. The suspect is being held for show causing hearing on the charges of Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Forcible confinement, Threats, Fraud and Possession of stolen property.
