Date: Saturday, November 8, 2014 – 5:30am
On November 8th at approximately 530am, a male and female couple entered a coffee shop on Fairview Drive.
While in the store, the female removed her jacket and placed it over a poppy box located on a glass donut display. She managed to conceal the poppy box by cradling it in her jacket and subsequently walking to the bathroom.
As this was occurring, the male distracted the store clerk by ordering and cancelling several items.
After he finally purchased two donuts, the female rejoined the male and the pair exit the store with the stolen poppy box.
The female suspect is described as white, heavy build, 20-40 years, with long dark wavy hair, wearing a black or dark sweater with a scarf, jeans and bright pink or red shoes.
Her coat is grey/green with fur around the hood.
The male suspect is described as white with a medium build, age 20-30, with a green hat, green or grey vest, blue/grey sweater on underneath, boots and grey pants
Barrie Police are currently editing a digital video of the incident and expect to identify the suspects shortly.
