On Tuesday June 2, 2015 Waterloo Regional Police were notified by Grey County Ontario Provincial Police of an ongoing investigation with respect to a stolen 2006 gray colored GMC Sierra pickup truck. At approximately 1:04 pm, Waterloo Regional Police were advised that an unknown male had attempt steal a Chevrolet Chevelle from a parking lot located in the 100 block of Sheldon Drive, Cambridge. When confronted by witnesses, the male fled in a 2006 GMC Sierra along with a second unknown male. At approximately 1:30 pm, police were advised of another attempted theft of a motor vehicle, this time a blue Silverado parked in the 1200 block of Franklin BLvd. Confronted, the suspect along with a second male, fled in a black Silverado. At approximately 2:55 P.M., while checking the area, Police located a Chevrolet Silverado driving in tandem with a GMC Sierra pickup. The pickup trucks both failed to stop for police and fled at a high rate of speed through a residential area. No suspect apprehension pursuit was initiated. At approximately 3:24 P.M., Waterloo Regional Police were informed that a black Silverado had been stolen between 1pm and 3pm from Cowansview Road. At approximately 3:49 P.M., Waterloo Regional Police were informed of an attempted theft of a red GMC Sierra on Avenue Road. At approximately 4:13 P.M., Waterloo Regional Police were informed that a tan colored Sierra had been stolen from the 400 block of Franklin Blvd. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police at South Division, 519-650-8500 Ext. 2299 or Crime Stoppers 1 800 222 8477. Police would like to remind the public to enure their vehicles are locked and report any suspicious activity.
