(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind property owners to always lock up their unattended vehicles following another opportunistic theft that took place in Huron Park last week.
On Friday, February 2, 2018 Huron OPP attended a St. Lawrence Avenue residence to investigate a theft from an unlocked vehicle. The owner reported when he woke up in the morning he noticed some footprints around his pickup truck. Upon checking his vehicle he determined someone had entered into his unlocked truck and proceeded to steal two custom-made fly fishing rods valued each at $1500. One burgundy in colour and the other was grey in colour. Along with the stolen fishing rods the thief stole a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $300.
