A 21-year-old Barrie woman will appear in bail court Thursday morning after being arrested for theft and wanted on an outstanding warrant with Thunder Bay Police Service.
The woman had been caught stealing from No Frills located in the Wellington Plaza, in the City of Barrie. A loss prevention officer stopped the female as she attempted to leave the store, although she managed to get away after kicking him. A foot chase between the two led to the woman’s arrest outside Shoppers Drug Mart.
Police have charged the woman with; theft under $5,000 and assault with the intent to resist arrest.
