(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Saturday morning July 24, 2010 three residents of Mitchell contacted the Perth County OPP and reported thefts from their unlocked vehicles.
The residents who reside on Waterloo St., Montreal St, and Toronto St. reported that they had their unlocked vehicles rummaged through. A Garmin Nuvi 4.5 gray coloured GPS was stolen from one vehicle while a few Cd’s and small amounts of change were taken from some of the other vehicles. Investigation indicated that the thefts most likely occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Friday night.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in the area of the thefts is requested to contact the OPP. The public is urged to lock their vehicles and to be cognizant of suspicious persons walking around in their neighbourhoods late at night.
