Theft From Pig Barn Under Construction

(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Monday June 20, 2011 the Perth County OPP in West Perth was contacted about the theft of tools from a pig barn under construction. The barn is located on the east side of Perth Road 180 south of Cromarty.

Investigation indicated that sometime between the evening of Thursday June 16 and the noon hour on Friday June 17, 2011, unknown persons entered the front foyer area of the barn. A vehicle would have pulled near the barn to allow the culprit to remove the stolen tools.

The stolen tools include the following DeWalt products, two 18 volt drills, a sawsal, an18 volt hammer drill, a circular saw, a radio, seven batteries and three chargers.

A large number of hand tools and safety equipment was also removed. This includes two sets of ear-protection, a XXL Viking orange and silver rain suit, a pair of size 12 CORFA steel toe work boots, a FAT MAX tape measure, two tool belts (with assorted hand tools), an electrical pouch with tools, cone shaped drill bits, miscellaneous wire cutters, pipe cutters and nut setters.
