Theft and Possession

Police received a call from a downtown business about an 18 year old male that was trying to cash stolen cheques. When officer’s arrived and conducted their investigation it was revealed that the male had stolen a backpack from an employee at another business and was trying to cash his cheque. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Barrie Police. He was released with a future court date.
