Theft

Wednesday afternoon three males attended a downtown Dunlop Street restaurant bar, while at the establishment they observed a cash box behind the bar. When the bartender was occupied one of the males reached over the bar and stole the cash box containing a large amount of cash. All three males fled the scene. Police officers observed the three in the area of Ross St. acting suspiciously, after a short investigation all three were arrested for theft . The cash box and it’s contents were recovered. Officers attended the restaurant bar and advised the staff of the incident. All three of the arrested adult males are from the Barrie area. It should be noted that two of the accused were just released from custody at CNCC. Both of these males were held in custody while the third was released by way of an undertaking.
