The Good Food Box returns to Lucknow with a new Volunteer Coordinator, Megan Cohoon. The volunteer coordinator acts as a local contact, organizes orders and works with volunteers to pack boxes on pick up day.
“We are lucky to have such dedicated and passionate volunteer coordinators for each site across Bruce Grey and we are very excited to have Megan join the team.” says Laura Needham, Public Health Dietitian. “The program relies on a team including volunteer coordinators and packers, suppliers, order sites, and host organizations. Together they are all committed to providing access to healthy and delicious fresh produce each month.”
Ordering a Good Food Box in Lucknow also got easier with Armstrong’s Bakery participating as an order site. Customers can now bring their order to the bakery up until the first Friday of the month. Pick up day will remain on the second Friday of the month at the Lucknow Community Christian Reformed Church. In respect for Remembrance Day, the November Good Food Box delivery will be scheduled for November 16.
