(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH) – An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driver is facing three charges following a traffic stop in Dungannon this past weekend. At 10:00 p.m. on May 4, 2013 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a red Can-Am four-wheeler that was travelling along Albert Street.
A subsequent driver’s licence check was completed and it revealed the driver currently held a suspended driver’s licence. Further checks on the machine revealed the ATV was not insured and the licence plate attached was not authorized for that machine.
As a result, Terry AUSTIN, male, age 29, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with: Drive While Under Suspension, Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle and Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. He has a court appearance scheduled for June 4, 2013 at Provincial Offences Court in Goderich.
