Police attended McKay Road (10th Line) for a snow plow that had been involved in a collision. Upon investigation, police determined that the blade had caught the edge of the roadway and dug into the pavement before flipping onto its side. A large portion of the roadway was removed by the blade. Luckily the driver was uninjured as a result of the incident.
Barrie Fire Department and the Ministry of the Environment were called due to a fluid spill.
Police are issuing a traffic advisory as McKay Road between County Road 27 and Veterans Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic until the pavement can be replaced.
