Teens Caught With Break In Tools

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Thursday July 18, 2013 around 1:30 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducting foot patrol along the North Perth Trail near the Kinsmen Station in Listowel observed two suspicious males.

The males had earlier been observed pulling into a nearby parking lot in an older model pickup truck. The males who were carrying back packs were observed walking towards the trail system. The officer confronted the 17 and 18 year old males and found them to be in possession of break-in tools. Both males were arrested and a search of the pickup truck revealed that there was a small amount of marihuana in the vehicle.

Both males are North Perth residents, they have both been charged with possession of break in instruments”. The 17 year old male has also been charged with “possession schedule ll marihuana – under 30 grams”. They are both scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on September 11
