A recent pamphlet by the UK government informs parents how to tell if their child is at high risk of becoming an Extremist. This pamphlet has drawn a lot of criticism for it’s “don’t trust your child, trust the Government and Media” Orwellian feel.
These are “warning” signs that your child is, or is becoming an Extremist.
Is your child upset or angry about any government policy, especially foreign policy?
Does your child mistrust mainstream media?
Has your child changed the way they have dressed?
Has your child made or lost friends?
Has your child lost interest in some things they use to do?
Does you child switch screens or hide screens when you come near?
Does your child have a phone or mobile device you haven’t given them?
Have they ever showed sympathy for any cause might be viewed as “extremist”?
Has your child glorified violence, laughed at prank videos where someone gets hurt?
Has your child ever tried to research any extremist cause?
Does your child fully support the government and every action they take?
Does your child believe in any conspiracy theories?
