(SOUTH HURON, ON)- An early morning Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) program resulted in two drivers losing their driving privileges for three days. On Monday, May 21, 2012 just after 8:30 a.m. the driver of a Chevrolet Colorado pickup entered the R.I.D.E checkpoint positioned at the intersection of Crediton Road and Shipka Line.
Upon speaking with the driver, officers noted he had been drinking alcohol. The 19 year old driver from South Huron was served with a 3 day driver’s licence suspension.
Approximately a half hour later, a 36 year old driver from Lucan-Biddulph Township entered the R.I.D.E program driving a Chevrolet. Officers detected he had been drinking alcohol and was served with a 3 day driver’s licence suspension.
