Teen Girls Approached And One Assaulted In Goderich – Suspect Description Released

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers including investigators from the Huron OPP Crime Unit continue to investigate an incident that took place in the Town of Goderich this past weekend that involved an encounter between a suspicious male and two teenaged girls.

Police have learned that on Saturday, June 3, 2017 around 6:35 p.m. two 16-year-old girls were walking in the area of Maitland Road North & Nelson Street East when they observed an older male following them. The male followed the girls a short distance and upon approaching them he proceeded to ask them if they would like to have sex. Upon being told no, the male then pushed one of the girls. The girls then screamed for help and ran away. The male was last seen on foot heading northwest.

Police were contacted and extensive patrols were conducted however the male was not located.

The male suspect has been described as being:

Approximately 60 years of age

Caucasian

Approximately 5’6 to 5’8″ in height
