(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Monday May 23, 2016, around 7:30 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol along Hwy 7/8 between Stratford and Shakespeare, when a passenger was observed leaning out of the window of a moving vehicle.
The male passenger’s torso was leaning out of the side/rear window of a four door Pontiac sedan. The vehicle was pulled over by the officer and the occupants were spoken to. The offending male told the officer the following “I have never ‘hung out’ of the side of a moving vehicle, and wanted to try it”.
The 19-year-old Kitchener male was warned for his irresponsible behaviour and was issued a $110 ticket for; “passenger – fail to properly wear seat belt”, Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
