(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Sunday April 28, 2013, shortly after 1 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a speeding Pontiac Grand Am travelling on Perth Line 86 east of Listowel. The officer pulled over the vehicle and detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. The driver failed a roadside breath test and also failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests at the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel.
Tara BINKLE (38) of Wilmot Twp. has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. She is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on Wednesday May 29, 2013, to answer to this charge. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle she was operating has been impounded for 7 days.
