MALE SWINGS BASEBALL BAT AT POLICE
(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Saturday April 28, 2012 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were dispatched to a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival the officers were met by a male armed with a baseball bat. Officers utilized less than lethal force to effect the male’s arrest. The male was taken into custody, had the pepper spray washed off, and was treated for a minor cut to his elbow.
He was transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment where he was held until sober.
On Sunday morning April 29, 2012 the male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Listowel criminal court on June 06, 2012 to answer to the charge of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose”.”
