(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a reported robbery at an ATM and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying one of the suspects involved.
During the early morning hours of January 1, 2016, at approximately 2:00 am, a male victim withdrew money from an ATM at a plaza at Meadowlands Drive/Prince of Wales Drive. At that location, the victim encountered two suspects in the ATM vestibule and a dispute ensued. The suspect, possibly armed with a knife, took the money the victim had withdrawn. There were no injuries.
One suspect has recently been arrested in connection to this investigation. An arrest warrant had previously been issued. During the course of the investigation, the images of a second suspect were obtained and investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to identify that male. The suspect is described as being a male of middle-eastern descent, approximately 20-25 years of age (image attached.)
