On 20 April 2015 in the early afternoon, a Cambridge resident called Police reporting that a male came to her door stating that he was from the government and wished to see the numbers on her furnace and look at the pipes. The resident grew suspicious and did not allow the male in. The male was described as White, 27-30 years, carrying a clip board with an Energy Star Sticker on it and wearing a plastic identification tag around his neck. When he left he met up with a second male on the street. The pair were wearing jackets with a logo reading Ontario GOGREEN. The Mississauga Company was contacted and advised they do not do door to door sales and have no people working in the Cambridge area. Residents are reminded to be diligent and careful of whom they allow into their home and report any suspicious activity.
