On Tuesday October 2, 2012, The University of Guelph Campus Community Police responded to the University Centre regarding strange behavior by an unknown male. Investigation revealed that at approximately 9:00 a.m., a male had entered the women’s washroom, following closely behind a female. The male and female did not know each other. A witness who saw the male enter the washroom entered to ensure the female was safe. The witness observed the male in a washroom stall next to the female and alerted the female of the male’s presence in the stall next to her. Both the witness and female left the area, leaving the male inside the washroom. The male eventually left the washroom, but remained in the area. The male was then observed reentering the washroom a second time following two different women into the washroom. The male was in the washroom with the two women for a short period of time. He quickly left the area, prior to the women leaving the washroom.
The male is described as white, from 5’7 to 5’11, thin build, wearing blue jeans, black coat, dark hoodie covering his head and a red brimmed hat.
The Guelph Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in speaking to witnesses who may have had similar incidents happen to them, or who may have been a victim in these two incidents.
