(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Thursday December 29, 2011 Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were contacted by a parent whose child had been offered a ride by an unknown male.
Investigation revealed that at 10 a.m. on Thursday the 29th, the eleven year old girl had been walking south on Livington Ave North, on the east side of the street near Elizabeth St. West. A north bound pickup truck on Livington Ave North stopped on the street near the girl when the male driver rolled down his window and offered her a ride. The girl did not recognize the male or the male passenger and ran home while the truck drove away.
The Perth County OPP would like to speak to the driver or the passenger of the pickup truck. The Caucasian male driver is approximately 30 years of age he was wearing a black sweatshirt, black round sunglasses and a black baseball cap. The pickup is a 4 door red open box truck with a silver bird type hood ornament.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have information about this incident, or who knows the identity of the driver or the truck to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
