(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Wednesday April 11, 2012 around 5:15 p.m., a 44 year old male from West Perth was driving west bound on Line 32 when the borrowed vehicle he was driving caught fire. He safely stopped the car at Road 160 and used water from a bottle he had in the vehicle to douse the flames. The West Perth Fire Department attended and further ensured that the fire was extinguished.
The investigating OPP officer did a routine driver’s licence check on the male driver and discovered that he had been suspended from driving since 1997. The driver was charged with “driving under suspensionâ€Â, and was summonsed to Stratford Court where he will be required to appear on May 22, 2012 to answer this charge.
