Suspects sought in taxi robbery

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the recent robbery of a taxi driver and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible.

On June 19, 2016, at approximately 1:30 am, two males were picked up at the South Keys transit station by the victim. The victim, a taxi driver, was directed to drive to the area of 2920 Fairlea Cr. At that location, the rear passenger produced a handgun, pointed it at the taxi driver, and made a demand for money. The duo exited the car empty –handed when the driver had no cash to provide. The driver was uninjured.

The suspects are described as follows (images attached):

#1-black male, approximately 20-25 years, 140-160 lbs, goatee and moustache, spoke English and a second language, had an earring in his left ear.

#2-black male, 18-22 years, goatee and moustache, skinny build
