(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a recent taxi robbery and is releasing images in an attempt to identify the suspect responsible and a person of interest.
On March 29, 2015, two males were picked up by a taxi in the Market area of downtown Ottawa at approximately 3:10am. The fares were driven to a building situated at 1375 Prince of Wales Drive. At that location, one male, a person of interest at this time, exited the taxi and entered the aforementioned building. The second male remained behind. He then threatened the driver, punched him, and stole a small quantity of cash. The suspect was last seen in the lobby of the same building.
The Robbery Unit is releasing images of the two males. The first is a person of interest only at this time. He is described as a black male, 6’0(183 cm). The second male
