Suspect charged in overnight Beechwood Avenue convenience store robbery

(Ottawa) β€” The Ottawa Police Service has laid charges in connection to the overnight robbery of a convenience store.

On April 8, 2015, at approximately 1:50 am, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 0-100 block of Beechwood Avenue. The suspect made a demand for cash while holding a bottle. The suspect fled the premises with a small amount of cash. He was located and arrested a short time later by patrol officers. There were no injuries.

Dustin COOK, age 24 of Ottawa, is charged with robbery, wearing a disguise, and possession of a weapon. He appears in court on April 8, 2015.
