(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a Barrhaven convenience store robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspects responsible.
On March 13, 2015, at approximately 2:40 am, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 0-100 block of Tartan Drive. The suspect, armed with a large knife, made a demand for cash and cigarettes. The suspect fled the premises with a small quantity of cash and a small number of cigarette packages. There were no injuries. The suspect was last seen running down Tartan Drive.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’7” (170cm), with a heavy build (approx. 200 lbs). At the time, he wore a grey balaclava, a blue, white, and a grey striped t-shirt. Additionally, the suspect has a tattoo on his right, inner forearm that appears to be in the shape of a cross (images attached.)
