(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a Christmas retail robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect.
On December 25, 2014, at approximately 6:00 pm, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 200 block of Bay Street. The suspect carried a handgun, pointed it at the store employee, and then threatened the same employee. The employee fled to the rear of the store and the suspect then fled the premises empty-handed. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a caucasian male, approximately 5’4(163 cm)
