Suspect Arrested for Residential Break and Enters and Other Thefts in Hanover

on October 6th, 2014 during the early morning hours members of the Hanover
Police Service were called to a residence in the 100 block of 11th Avenue to
investigate a break and enter. The investigation determined that two suspects
had entered the attached garage of the residence and were searching through the
vehicles when they were interrupted by the homeowner. The homeowner gave
chase on foot however the suspects escaped. Further investigation determined
other similar break-ins occurred in that neighbourhood the same night along with
several thefts from unlocked vehicles.

On October 15th, 2014 members of the Hanover Police Service arrested an 18 year
old male suspect from Mount Forest for these crimes. The Hanover Police Service
has charged the suspect with five counts of residential break and enter, three
counts of theft under SS,000 from motor vehicles, one count of attempted theft
under 55000 from a motor vehicle and one count of theft from a delivery
company’s drop box.

A second suspect is currently being sought by the Hanover Police Service in
connection with these crimes. Anyone with information on these crimes is
