Summerhill Road Methamphetamine Bust – HUNT & LACROIX

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit with the assistance of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine and Huron OPP executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence located on Summerhill Road, in the Municipality of Central Huron, Huron County, Ontario.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized methamphetamine, oxycodone, cannabis resin and cannabis marihuana.

Police also seized two counterfeit $20 Canadian bills and stolen property that consisted of an enclosed utility trailer, licence plates and a street sign. In addition, police seized two rifles, ammunition and a prohibited weapon (sawed off shot gun).

35-year-olds Derek HUNT & Tracy LACROIX both from Central Huron were each charged with the following offences:

Possession of Methamphetamine, Oxycodone, Marihuana and Cannabis Resin (Shatter).

Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000

Two counts – Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000

Two counts – Possession of Counterfeit Currency

Two counts – Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

Three counts – Careless Storage of a Firearm

Careless Storage of Ammunition

Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing Serial # Tampered With

Possession of a Prohibited Weapon with Ammunition

LACROIX was released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 17, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. HUNT remains in custody with a court appearance scheduled for June 16, 2017.
