On Saturday August 29, 2015 the Guelph Police Service were called to Royal City Park to check on an unconscious female. Police located the female with no vital signs. The female was transported to the Guelph General Hospital by ambulance. All attempts at resuscitating the female were unsuccessful and she was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The death is not suspicious at this time. This incident is now considered a Coroner’s investigation. An autopsy is pending
UPDATE
An autopsy was performed today on the 23yr old female found in Royal City park on August 29, 2015. As a result, her death is not considered suspicious and Guelph Police are awaiting toxicology results. Next of Kin have been notified. The deceased‘s name will not be released.
