(SAUBLE BEACH, ON) – On May 6, 2017 at 5:54 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver whose grey 2003 Ford Escape was partially submerged in the waters off of Lakeshore Boulevard on Saugeen First Nation. Police located the vehicle and found the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was transported to the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment for breath tests, in which he failed.
Christopher LANCASTER, age 26, of Wiarton, has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams. His vehicle was impounded and his driver’s licence suspended. He is required to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice on May 18, 2017, to answer to the charges.
