Stuff-The-Cruiser Update

(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – Members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police with assistance from the Bruce Peninsula OPP Auxiliary Unit were out on the Thanksgiving Holiday accepting food donations in support of our local communities.

On Saturday the sixth of October non-perishable food items were stuffed into a Police Cruiser at Fretz’s Valu-Mart in Sauble Beach. The event exceeded expectations and a second vehicle provided by Dave Fretz the owner of Fretz’s Valu-mart was also filled to capacity. There were also cash donations and Dave Fretz estimates the total value of food and cash to be approximately $2000. The local Salvation Army in Wiarton accepted the donated items and will be allocating them as needed.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP and Fretz’s Valu-Mart thank the community for their generous contributions to assist those in need this Thanksgiving, and coming festive season.

Notably, all food donations will stay local to the communities in which they were provided.
