Student Passion Project Supports Children’s Hospital

It all started with a Clinton Public School grade 5 class as a small fundraising campaign, but with the help of teacher Laurie Erb, this group of youngsters managed to raise $550 by making rainbow loom bracelets. The funds were raised to support the Children’s Health Foundation of London.

Every spare minute the students spent working on the bracelets in preparation for selling them during the week before the Christmas holidays. They prepared signs to hang around the school, decorated t-shirts to wear on selling days and made announcements to get their message of helping others out to the school and Facebook communities. The goal was $200, but when it came time count their cash, it totaled $550, which we delivered to the Children’s Health Foundation, the fundraising arm of London’s Children’s Hospital.
