Student Bottle Fight Ends With Assault With Weapon Charges

(WALKERTON, ON) – On February 6th, 2012 at 1:12 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of an assault that took place on Hinks Street, Walkerton. Officers arrived and learned that a dispute between 2 groups of students lead to 1 group of students being hit by bottles as the other group drove past. One of the victims sought medical attention for injuries caused by this incident. Two male youth have each been charged with 5 counts of Assault with a weapon for their involvement. Both will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
