Stratford Man Facing Fraud Charges – Brookshaw Enterprises/Ronald James BROOKSHAW – Police Fear More Victims

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 45-year-old male after police investigated several incidents as a result of being contacted by Norfolk County, Haldimand County and Oxford County residents.

Between Wednesday, June 18, 2014 and Monday, August 15, 2016 police were contacted by several concerned citizens reporting that they had been defrauded.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that residents in various communities dealt with Brookshaw Enterprises, located in Villa Nova, Ontario and had purchased heating/cooling units and hot tubs. Police were contacted after the purchased items, partially arrived or never arrived at all.

As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 45-year-old Ronald James BROOKSHAW of Stratford, Ontario on Thursday, October 13, 2016. He has been charged with four (4) counts of fraud under $5,000 and four (4) counts of fraud over $5,000.

Police are continuing to investigate and are concerned that there may be other victims in the community. If anyone has any information regarding this investigation they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.

The investigation is continuing.
