(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Wednesday July 17, 2013, shortly before 11 p.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was observing traffic on Elginfield Rd. south of St.Marys when a pickup truck was observed crossing the centre line and was straddling lanes.
The Ford Ranger pickup truck was pulled over and the officer noted that the driver displayed obvious signs of impairment. The male was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Scott MCKAY (57) of the Township of Perth South has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicleâ€Â, and “operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of bloodâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on September 03, 2013 to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his pickup truck was impounded for 7 days.
