Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Driver Faces Numerous Charges

On March 20th just after eleven p.m., West Grey police officers were called to attend at Hamilton Lane in the former Glenelg township regarding a motor vehicle that had crashed into a snow bank with an unresponsive driver.

The male driver was transported to the Markdale hospital and was subsequently released however his troubles didn’t end there. As a result of the investigation into the collision, the 37 year old from West Grey was arrested and charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and fail or refuse to provide a breath sample. The accused was released on a promise to appear with a court date set for April 26th.
