Stolen Vehicle Recovered – 18 Year Old Arrested After Pursuit

On November 14, 2016 at 3:45 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle that was driving out of a parking lot at 40 Paulander Drive in Kitchener. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed after police activated their emergency lights. A pursuit was not initiated due to a concern for public safety. A short time later, the stolen vehicle was seen travelling north on Hazelglen Drive in Kitchener. The driver of the stolen vehicle parked at Shadeland Drive and Hazelglen Drive and started walking through the pathway at the end of Shadeland Drive. The driver of the vehicle was soon located by police and found to be in possession of the vehicles keys. An 18-year-old Kitchener man is facing numerous charges, including Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000, Flight from Police, Obstruct Police, Weapons Dangerous and Breach Recognizance of Bail.
