Stolen Truck Crashes Into bakery

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Friday April 19, 2013, shortly before midnight Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) officers were dispatched to a collision near the intersection of Main St. N. and Fulton St. in Milverton.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that a red 2007 Chevy Silverado pickup truck had driven into the back of Guenther’s Bakery. The occupant(s) of the truck did not remain at the scene.

Investigation revealed that earlier in the evening the driver had parked the Chevy pickup truck in front of a residence on John St. in Milverton. Shortly before the crash, while the driver was inside, unknown person(s) gained entry into the vehicle and drove it away.

Officers searched the area for the person(s) responsible for the theft and crash, but failed to locate suspects. Damage to the truck and building is extensive.
