(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Wednesday July 15, 2015, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to an industrial property onTremaine Ave South in Listowel, where a 2014, 18ft long red utility trailer, valued at $7,500 was discovered stolen.
On Thursday July 16, 2015, Perth County OPP Property Crime investigators attended at an address along Browntown Rd in Huron East where the stolen trailer was observed. Officers obtained judicial authority to enter onto the property and recovered the trailer. A male located on the property was arrested.
20-year-old Nicholas Donald Edward GILL of Huron East has been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
– Altering / Destroying / Removing a vehicle identification number
– Fail to comply with probation order
He attended bail court in Goderich on Friday July 17, 2015, where he was released on a Recognizance of Bail. He is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich on August 20, 2015, to answer to the charges.
