On September 5, 2016, police began investigating a bicycle theft in the area of Bingeman Centre Drive and Victoria Street North, Kitchener. The stolen bicycle was recovered and two suspects were arrested at a hotel on Victoria street North, Kitchener. A search warrant was executed on the hotel room and approximately $5 000 worth of stolen property was recovered. A 22 year old male and 17 year old female, both from Kitchener were charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and Traffick in stolen goods and held pending a bail hearing.
