(ELDERSLIE TWP, ON) – On September 11, 2013 at 3:24 am, a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Concession 2 in Elderslie Township stopped a Green Chevrolet Malibu. The officer found that the vehicle was full of assorted tools, copper, electronic accessories and telephone repair parts. The male occupants were arrested and the vehicle was taken to the South Bruce OPP detachment in Walkerton. The South Bruce OPP crime unit assisted with the investigation into the seized property and arrested parties. Stolen property was recovered from recent crimes in the Municipalities of Kincardine, Saugeen Shores and Arran-Elderslie.
22 year old Jamien UNRAU of Chesley has been charged with 5 counts of Possess stolen property, 2 counts of Theft under $5,000, 2 counts of Break and enter, Possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of Breach probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 7, 2013 to answer to the charges.
20 year old Christopher BATES of Chesley has been charged with 5 counts of Possess stolen property, 2 counts of Theft under $5,000, 2 counts of Break and enter and Possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 21, 2013 to answer to the charges.
