From September 2014 until July 2015, Waterloo Regional Police conducted an investigation into a spree of trailer thefts and break and enter offences committed throughout Waterloo Region and extending into Perth County. On July 8th 2015 a male and female suspect were arrested at Pioneer Dr, and Homer Watson Blv, Kitchener, in relation to the investigation. A subsequent warrant was executed at a farm in the Tavistock area, that was associated to the accused. A stolen trailer as well as a variety of tools and wire cable was recovered during the search. The male accused was charged with 6 counts of Break and Enter, Theft Over $5000 and a variety of other property related offences. The total value of the items stolen in the course of this crime spree is believed to be in excess of $80 000.
