Stolen portable X-Ray

On Saturday August 6th, 2016 members of the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office attended 70 Niagara Street in Hamilton with regards to a fatal fire investigation.

An inventory of equipment in the days after the investigation leads the OFMEM Investigators to believe a piece of equipment was stolen from their truck while at the fire scene.

A black pelican brand plastic case containing a portable X-Ray machine is missing and presumed stolen. While this piece of investigative equipment poses no risk when handled if the equipment were to be powered up the radiation emitted can be harmful to humans.

Police are warning the public of this risk and ask anyone with information about the whereabouts of this piece of equipment contact police or Crime Stoppers.
