Stolen Pickup Recovered In Toronto

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On New Years Eve, the owner of a 1997 Ford pickup truck parked his vehicle at a rural residence along Line 20 to attend a gathering. In the early hours of New Years Day he discovered that the vehicle was been stolen.

The Perth County OPP was contacted and investigation revealed that the vehicle had left in a north bound direction on Road 134. The vehicle was immediately entered on the CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) system as stolen. Shortly after midnight on Monday 03 January 2011 a Metro Toronto Police Service officer spotted the stolen truck and arrested the male occupant. The truck will be retrieved by the owner.

Police are reminding the public to remove keys and lock their vehicles.
